JESSE RYAN
As Site Superintendent, Jesse ensures that our high-quality standards are met while projects are completed on schedule and within budget. He provides on-site management of field personnel, subcontractors, and vendors, and he oversees a wide range of construction activities and materials. An artisan at heart, with a varied and impressive career, there isn’t a better man for the job!
The son of a commercial builder, Jesse’s path to construction began early. His family was constantly remodeling, and he was always learning to use new tools. When Jesse embarked on his own career, he had the opportunity to cut his teeth with an award-winning luxury custom homebuilder in Austin, Texas. During his 10-year tenure with the firm, his experiences ran the gamut. He worked on a range of hardwoods and exteriors – from an 1800s barn renovation that required building with cob (the mixing of clay and straw together) to the construction of energy-efficient SIP panel homes. Jesse and his team were even contracted to help on several projects for building industry thought leader Matt Risinger.
Next, Jesse pursued an opportunity to enjoy his love of architectural metalwork. He left on good terms to work with a friend, creating everything from steel retaining walls and grass-filled steel landscape staircases to modern and intricate metal handrails for magnificent homes. Jesse married a few years later, moved to Colorado, and opened his own shop. His work cladding a fireplace in blackened steel panels quickly won him acclaim on an architectural tour, and a handrail that he crafted from reclaimed wood was featured in the local design magazine.
Lucky for Sweenor Builders and for our clients, Jesse and his wife moved their growing young family to be near relatives in New England just over a year ago. The culmination of Jesse’s experience has already proven an invaluable asset to our team. You won’t have to look long to see pictures of his craft populating our social media channels.
