Most days you’ll find Riley at our millwork shop, engrossed in his craft, and wearing the easy smile of a man who truly loves his work.  Riley’s attention to detail and strong work ethic make him well-suited for his role as cabinet maker.  He thrives in the tasks of creating custom architectural details, cabinets, built-ins and a range of specialty items. He is also Andersen Windows Certified.

Riley started his career at Sweenor Builders nearly seven years ago, although he traces his interest in building back to a construction project on a mission trip to Honduras as a kid. His talents have grown exponentially since then. In his daily work, he exemplifies the sage advice of his high school baseball coach, “Practice like you’re going to play in the game.”

There is no question that Riley has a natural aptitude for carpentry, but the vital drivers to his success are constant curiosity, and the desire to keep improving.   His favorite thing is learning the secrets of woodworking from older, wiser, and more experienced master craftsman.  He recently supported Norm Abram on the crafting of a unique coffee table for This Old House.
