Sweenor Builders created one of its first custom homes on this lot in Wakefield back in 1998. A four-man crew built the original house, with Jeff Sweenor overseeing each element of the design and construction. 23 years later, our much-expanded team was asked to redesign and build a new home on the same land. The new home concentrates the living area on a single floor with an expansive open floorplan centered around a large kitchen, surrounded by tall windows with natural views on all sides. The 3,400 square-foot space features high-efficiency HVAC with radiant floor heating, spray foam insulation and weather-tight barrier materials for ultimate indoor climate control. Updating the farmhouse style, the design makes creative use of board and batten with NuCedar siding, black-framed Andersen windows, metal roof accents and hidden roofline lighting. Out back, the contoured landscape lowers into the shaded stone patio and contemporary pool, ideal for relaxed entertaining.
