A creative thinker and natural problem solver, Eric combines his unfailingly calm persona and years of experience to run projects smoothly, ensuring clients a rewarding experience from start to finish.  With more than 25 years in the business, he draws from a wide range of talents to execute our project vision, orchestrate all aspects of our team and workflow, and provide oversight of the construction schedule and budget.

Eric’s career with Sweenor Builders began thanks to a fortuitous meeting with Jeff Sweenor, and their shared love of rowing.  Eric was studying at the University of Rhode Island, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Resource Development, when Jeff met him at an alumni event. Eric was captain of the men’s crew team and had been distinguished with the William E. O’Hara Achievement Award for athletic and academic excellence. Incidentally, he’d also worked in construction during high school.   Quick to recognize promising talent, Jeff offered him a summer position!

Eric joined Sweenor Builders full-time following graduation.  He learned the business quickly, becoming lead carpenter and eventually project manager.  After 13 years, Eric desired the experience of owning his own business.  After a successful 10 years, his return in 2017 translated seamlessly to our team, continuing his great work and to build on long-standing relationships.
