Waterfront Custom, Bonnet Shores

Working with DiMauro Architects and Kelly Taylor Interior Design, we are managing construction of this beautiful waterfront home in Bonnet Shores, Narragansett.  After owning and using the existing home as a summer residence for more than 40 years, our clients decided to tear-down, re-imagine, and rebuild the existing structure to create their ideal full-time residence.  Our scope will draw from high performance building strategies required for the high-velocity hurricane zone, starting with the installation of a helical pier foundation.  We will also oversee construction of complex architectural details such as an intersecting gambrel roof design and signature tower element.  Both design features will maximize interior spaces, while minimizing the massing of the home’s appearance  from the street level.  To learn more about the architect’s design approach, and follow this build step-by-step, tune into SAWDUST on the Sweenor Builders YouTube channel.
